Intensely Hydrated thanks to Burt's Bees and BzzAgent!

As a member of BzzAgent I was selected to try the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration line. The line consists of a Day Cream, a Night Cream, a Skin Cleanser, and a Moisturizing Treatment. I tried them all and am so in love! This couldn't have come at a better time because I had just run out of my usual facial moisturizer and was looking for a new one. I'm not sure why I never considered Burt's Bees because I've loved every product I've tried from them but..... Day Cream - very light and lightly fragranced. Put it on in the morning and my skin felt hydrated all day long. Night Cream - a bit thicker and you really lather it on and rub it in. Feels so good going on and I can tell my skin is just absorbing all that lovely moisture. The scent is light and smells clean. Skin Cleanser - used in the shower, my skin didn't feel tight after I got out of the shower as it does with so many other skin cleansers. I have a feeling this is the "intense hydration" working! The scent again is light and clean. Moisturizing Treatment - I was a bit skeptical of this. You lather on a thick layer of this cream and then sit for 5 or 10 minutes. You wipe the remainder off with a tissue and massage any leftovers. I found that my face really absorbed alot of it - I have very dry skin - but I needed to use a towel or paper towel, not a tissue to get it off. Otherwise I was picking off clumps of goo all night...yech! But if you get it all off after the treatment, you'll be fine. The scent isn't overwhelming at all and my face felt fantastically soft and smooth afterward. Even my husband remarked that I was glowing the next day. So, I've found a new facial regime thanks to BzzAgent and one of my favorites...Burt's Bees!

Almost Halfway through my 90 Day Challenge

So, here I am. I am 5 1/2 weeks into my 90 Day Body By Vi Challenge. I've lost a total of 9 lbs and several inches. I fit into a pair of pants that no longer fit before - same size, just less stretch in them. I haven't been working out at all and actually my food choices have been pretty poor lately too. I have even skipped some shakes. Granted, things at home have been a little stressful and that always makes me eat poorly. There is something about Chocolate Chip Cookies :) But I'm still doing it, still making the shakes, trying to get back on the wagon. Despite all that, as I said, I've lost 9 pounds. 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy weight loss so I'm still doing well! If you want to find out more and join me in my challenge -

Glade Expressions

I take a lot of surveys and am a member of many online product review groups and such. BzzAgent is one that I really enjoy. They send you invites to campaigns regarding different products. If you are accepted, they send you the product to try. I've tried everything from makeup to online website to food.

Right now I am evaluating the new Glade Expressions line. They came out with a Fragrance Mister and a Reed Diffuser in some pretty interesting fragrances. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the Reed Diffuser but did pick up the Fragrance Mister in a fresh linen fragrance. I didn't get to choose because they only had one scent in the starter kit.

Basically what this is a spray bottle that has a flare at the top to make it look more stylish for your decor. You buy refills to put in it. Personally, it's too big and too gaudy for my tastes. The spray it puts forth is continuous and light. You don't get blasted in the face or choked by the air. The Linen fragrance is light enough and deep enough so that it is quite enjoyable. I probably will not purchase it - I received a coupon for a free one through BzzAgent - but if it is something you are looking for, I'd recommend it.

Secret Weigh-In

OK, I know that people recommend not weighing yourself every day, but how about every 3 or 4 days? LOL I just had to get on the scale this morning and see if anything was going on.

*Drum Roll Please***********************

Down 3 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! to 209.0

Seriously!!! Shocked and excited!

I did the 1 mile Walk Away the Pounds again today. It was a little bit easier than the last time.

I'm having fun with researching and making different shakes. Last night I had a Butterfinger - which will be in my regular rotation. This morning I did a Strawberry one with fresh strawberries - soooo good! I really don't know why anyone WOULDN'T want to do this!

Starting my 90-day Challenge

I received my Visalus powder in the mail today and promptly made my first shake. I used 12 oz of 1% milk, two rounded scoops of the Sweet Cream flavored Vi Powder, and a Chocolate Cardio Health packet. It was delicious!!!!!!!

I weighed myself today to officially have a starting point -

212.4 lbs

Then I went and did my Walk Away the Pounds 1 milk walk. I was sore and sweaty but I made it through. I kept reminding myself that I've done this before, that I succeeded and at some point in the future, will be doing the 3 mile walk! I love those set of videos by Leslie Sansone.

Yes, I'm hungry. I have been drinking a lot of water to help curb that hunger. You can make a shake for a snack if you are really hungry but make it with water. I'm gonna wait for dinner :)

I also put up a calendar in a very prominent place in our house so I am forced to look at it and posted what I did today on it. This worked when I did the C25K program so I hope it works again.

I'm doing this!!!! Anyone want to join me?

Giving Back

One of my favorite bloggers is Cooking From a SAHM. She involves her two children in all her cooking and she has some amazing recipes! I find it hard to be a mom of one and get dinner on the table so I really admire her!

She is also a very generous person. I am honored to help her raise some money for a charity that is close to her heart, the Tupelo Children's Mansion in Missouri. 20% of all sales from the Scentsy party link will go to this amazing place. Please read more about it and place an order if you'd like. Thank you for helping the children!

My First Share

Hi Everyone. My name is Trish and I'll be your blogger! I plan on hopefully using this blog to share my weight loss journey, my homeschooling journey, and any other journeys I happen to find myself on. I am a stay at home mom to a 19 month old daughter so there will be mommyisms thrown in too!

Weight Loss Journey
Weigh In Today: 214lbs ( YUCK! )
Goal Weight: 160lbs

That's a total of 44 lbs. What do I plan to do about it? Well, I'm going to try the Body by Vi challenge first. My aunt lost a ton of weight on it and it really fits with my current lifestyle. I'd like to lose weight healthily so I only plan on 1 or 2 lbs a week. So at the end of my 90 day challenge with Visalus I'd like to be at 190lbs or so. I haven't weighed that since before I got pregnant with my daughter. If I can work it into my schedule I'd like to start walking/jogging on our treadmill also. I had great success with the Couch to 5K program in the past, although I did hurt my knee running. I also enjoy the Walk Away the Pounds videos and I have the Balance Board for my Wii and a few Wii fitness games.

Homeschooling Journey
My daughter is only 19 months old. She was born at 28 weeks and 6 days weighing only 3 pounds. She has had Early Intervention coming to the house pretty much every week since she came home from the hospital at 54 days old :) I'd like to continue the wonderful work and ideas that they give me every week and so I started looking into homeschooling, specifically for toddlers right now. I have to admit, I'm so overwhelmed by all the amazing resources and people out there! There is no lack of printables or curriculums to purchase. Financially it will be a little more difficult for us and I will have to think outside the box but I'd really love to teach my daughter. I, myself, really love learning. So teaching her blends it all together. So far, I'm pretty excited about using Tot School from the blog 1+1+1=1 but there are tons more resources out there! This is only the beginning!

Little bit more about me: I love to watch movies. I enjoying reading books. Finding time for myself is a bit of a challenge and something I am working on alot. I'm hoping this blog can be a good outlet for me at times. I also do a lot of product reviews and trials. I will post about those things also!

Thank you for reading and I'm happy to have you here!
